Why Checkatrade May Not Be Enough To promote your business online

There is no doubting the importance on an entry in Checkatrade. It is there to support the credibility of your business and is very effective in that task.

But support it is pretty much all that it does. It rarely does much to promote it and it is in fact little more than a directory listing yours and many other identical businesses without giving potential customers any real reason to use you in preference to other listed businesses.

Furthermore, you are in direct competition with your direct competitors and you only get business if you are at the top of their listing. Also, if one of your competitors has a website, they will invariable get the business.

Why Checkatrade (or Similar) Directories are not enough

  1. They are business listings and not marketing tools
  2. You are in direct competition with your direct competitors
  3. You are one of many entries and only the top 2 or 3 listings will get the business
  4. They are not geared to your specific needs

We think Checkatrade and similar directories are excellent for what they do, but they are not geared to your individual needs and do not promote your specific interests. Only your own website can do that
